Allseating Showcases Latest Innovations at the 2022 Healthcare Design Conference + Expo

New Collections — Rühe, Innate, and Attune — Will Be Featured at Booth #112 at the Premier Healthcare Industry Show

Toronto, ON — October 2022 — Allseating, a leader in the design and development of cost-effective and highly ergonomic seating solutions for the office, educational, hospitality, and healthcare industries, will showcase its newest product collections, Rühe, Innate, and Attune, at this year’s Healthcare Design Conference + Expo at booth #112. As the healthcare industry’s ultimate networking, education, and product-sourcing event, Healthcare Design Conference + Expo features products and services that support the design of hospitals and clinical environments, with a focus on how products are seamlessly incorporated into facility design and operations.

“The healthcare industry has faced unprecedented changes in recent years. To combat this, manufacturers need to prioritize adaptability, familiarity, and cleanability more than ever before in order to accommodate a variety of public spaces,” says Cindy Lawton-Moreby, Vice President of Sales at Allseating. “To meet these needs, Allseating will be showcasing a collection of new seating solutions at this year’s Healthcare Design Conference + Expo, intuitively designed to provide superior comfort, wellness, and ergonomic performance for a variety of healthcare situations for both patients and caregivers.”

Allseating products to be featured at the trade show include:

Rühe: Rühe is a minimalist, multi-range series that suits a wide variety of public settings, including hospitals, airports, corporate waiting areas, and educational environments. Imagined by industrial designer Mike Shields, the Rühe family comprises guest seating (single, double, and triple), patient seating (single, rocker, and easy access) as well as a lounge (single, double, and triple), tandem seating, and tables. Guest seating allows for the option of standard seat size, plus or love seat to accommodate a broader range of body types. Rühe’s soft and residential ambiance adds levity to any space, while its light scale, modest design, and multiple seat sizes allow it to fit well with a variety of other products or environments. As calming and restful as its namesake, Rühe emphasizes user wellness while adding leisure and comfort to a wide range of settings.

Innate: Innate is a fully upholstered ergonomic task chair envisioned by industrial designer Todd Yetman for Allseating. Innate lives up to its namesake by providing intrinsic and integrated functionality for all-day comfort in healthcare office spaces, conference rooms, and home offices. Featuring a proprietary, resimercial design that resonates with Yetman’s classic award-winning style, Innate was thoughtfully crafted to cradle the sit-bones so that the user stays relaxed and focused. Furthermore, Innate is equipped with an optimal headrest that supports the head and neck for hours at a computer. Unlike most standard upholstered task chairs, Innate does away with the dual back design that combines a hard plastic shell with an upholstered front — its entire back is fully upholstered with no hard surfaces to create a uniquely comfortable experience. Innate adjusts to a wide range of body types through instinctive and easily accessible adjustments, which are hidden in its fully-integrated core.

Attune: Brought to life by Canadian designer Aaron Duke, Attune is a futuristic task seating solution that uses “materiality,” combining characteristics of high-performance elastomers to adapt to all users’ body types, instantly relieving pressure points from the user’s back and sit bones while also providing an easily adjustable lumbar. The elastomers and flexible plastics offer unique user characteristics, proven durability, and resistance to impact and fatigue. Attune’s design language is elementary and subtle but expressive in nature. It is suited for different environments such as office settings, hospitality spaces, home offices, and institutional environments. It is a great solution for any space requiring comfortable, light, and easy-to-use seating. Attune can be specified with an upholstered seat and back pads for both added comfort and aesthetic value.
