FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Allseating Receives Sustainability Seal-of-Approval Across All Product Lines
Allseating Becomes the First Canadian-Based Company To Receive The Greenhealth Approved Seal

Toronto, ON — November 2, 2023 — Today, Practice Greenhealth announces Allseating,  a leader in the design and development of cost-effective and highly ergonomic seating solutions for the office, educational, hospitality, and healthcare industries, as their latest Greenhealth Approved supplier. Allseating’s resilient and innovative products are the third furniture manufacturer and the first Canadian-based company to receive the Greenhealth Approved seal. The seal indicates that Allseating’s products meet specific sustainability criteria and enables healthcare providers to easily identify environmentally preferred products without the need to conduct a third-party ingredient verification.

"We are immensely honored to be the latest furniture manufacturer and the first Canadian-based company to receive the Greenhealth Approved seal,” said Paul Vendittelli, President of Allseating. “As a company, we're proud that each of our teams has contributed to ensuring our products meet the demands of modern healthcare environments and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future. We believe in creating eco-friendly furnishing solutions that make a difference through continuous innovation and adherence to the highest environmental standards."

To attain the Greenhealth Approved seal, manufacturers must adhere to meticulous sustainability criteria. This includes eliminating harmful substances such as Formaldehyde, PFAS, PVC, Antimicrobials, and Flame Retardants from their products. Allseating's entire product range successfully met the criteria, showcasing their commitment to sustainability. The program for furnishings under the Greenhealth Approved seal works in collaboration with the data submission and audit conducted by BIFMA (Business and Industrial Furnishing Manufacturers  Association), which is already a common process furnishing manufacturers undertake. This collaboration incorporates the criteria of Health Care Without Harm for the furnishing category as an optional credit.

"The Greenhealth Approved seal is a testament to a product's compliance to thorough sustainability criteria aimed at promoting healthier indoor environments,” says Mary Starr, Chief Operating Officer at Greenhealth Approved. “Allseating's achievement demonstrates a robust commitment to environmental stewardship and reflects the values of Practice Greenhealth. We are thrilled to recognize Allseating as a Greenhealth Approved supplier and look forward to witnessing the positive impacts of their sustainable products in healthcare settings."

Allseating also recently earned the LEVEL®3 certification, the highest sustainability achievement a product can reach for all three product categories — seating, tables, and casegoods — across all product lines. The LEVEL® sustainability certification is a voluntary standard that establishes measurable performance criteria to provide information on indoor air quality, material composition, issues related to life cycle assessments, social responsibility, and ecosystem impacts. Allseating proudly holds the distinction of being the first Canadian-based company to achieve LEVEL®3 certification in the seating category.

care, delivering environmental solutions to more than 1,400 U.S. hospitals and health systems. Greenhealth Approved, a program led by Practice Greenhealth and the Greenhealth Exchange, helps identify products meeting a set of measurements for sustainability and uses a seal to signal buyers that the product(s) have been found to meet the required criteria.
