TORONTO | CANADA - 2017 - Allseating and busk+hertzog, two teams well-versed in the many facets of modern design, have teamed up to craft a chair ideal for all settings: Astute®. Astute is aesthetically pleasing and functional, transitional and collaborative.

Outfitted with elegant curves and mix and match finishing capabilities, the chair can truly stand anywhere - on its own or a part of a larger collaborative space.”
The chair serves as a remedy for design quandaries across the board with over 85 custom variations available to complete any and all visions. From arm styles, which include - Penguin, Loop, or Armless in a polished aluminum finish, smoke and onyx matte finishes, and 14 painted colors - to frame offerings in 14 dynamic hues and smoke and black matte finishes - Astute is an embodiment of customization and high design.
“This type of ubiquitous multi-purpose chair comes with many requirements,” says designer Stephan Hertzog. “But within those practical concerns, there’s room for every single part to be reconsidered and designed for our current time.”
Astute’s custom capabilities extend to its back and seat styles, which are available in three versions - Polypropylene, partially upholstered and fully upholstered. Base designs include sled, four-leg and casters, and be altered to work with three sizes - one guest and two stool heights. The line will include a plus size frame in future.
The chair will be presented during NeoCon 2017 alongside its design team at Allseating’s showroom: across the street from the Mart at 325 North Wells St., Suite 210.
